MANJA (17) lives in a high-rise development on the outskirts of the city. As she rushes in the arms of rebel LOUK (17) who is on the run from hunters in the woods, this is the beginning of a first love. No lies, no traces, no fear - this is Louk's credo. And Manja follows her in quiet surrender. But when Manja realizes that Louk's idealism hides a deep wound left by the loss of her mother, she helps her to say goodbye to the past - and learns to let go herself.
AIR is a cinematic poem on the freedom of love and the purity of the heart.

Every summer, a military-patriotic camp for kids is being held on the Russian island of Sakhalin, 8000 km to the east of Moscow. The children are being trained in national values and armed combat, backed by lessons of Russian orthodox tradition. In Summer 2015, due to the 70th anniversary of the victory of the soviet army in WWII, the camp takes part in reconstruction of a historic battle, where the kids take on the roles of soldiers and the adults teach them how dying looks best on the battlefield.

In rural Vorpommern, northern Germany, life is changing beyond all recognition: Villages are vanishing, people are leaving, houses sit empty. Frank, too, is facing huge upheaval: his family has decided to move to the city. That, it seems, is their only chance of a bright future.
With their departure approaching, Frank realizes how attached he is to his home. As his wife, Kathrin, retreats ever further from the world, and Frank feels increasingly distant from his adolescent daughter and autistic son, he‘s forced to ask himself: Are things actually better somewhere else – or does „a perfect place“ only really exist within us?
A tragicomedy about a family living between a techno club and a brass band and a place between a nature reserve and a hog farm.

Nadeshda is one of Bulgaria’s largest Roma ghettos. The children Misho, Zorka and Tsveti appear to have little chance of breaking the cycle of prejudice, stigma and discrimination. Yet they dream of becoming professional classical musicians, far from the ghetto’s walls and its confining traditions. This will be no easy task, especially for the girls. The children and their parents will need to overcome the suspicions of their own community as well as the hostility of the outside world.
